Moody Coastal Living/Dining
THE CLIENT
The Client loves to entertain but felt the existing space was a little bare and soulless. People tended to cram into the small kitchen area rather than make use of the entire space. The preferred design style was coastal glam.
THE BRIEF
To restyle the open plan living/dining areas to create an impressive and inviting entertaining space.
THE DESIGN
The aim here was to make a statement of the sofa wall in order to draw people into the room. A wood slat wall was installed and painted a rich blue to add texture and depth. The moody ocean artwork added drama while the coastal shades of the sofa and cushions brought comfort and balance. Touches of chrome throughout provided cohesive glamour as did the velvet dining chairs. This space now has soul.
